LAVC was born from the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) based in Gainesville, Florida, USA. From the beginning, the goal was to bring to Lima a small portion of the NAVC Conference (now VMX) in Orlando, continuing NAVC's mission of developing better veterinary professionals worldwide. To achieve our objectives, LAVC welcomes participants from all over Peru and Latin America. The effort of LAVC has also helped connect veterinary professionals and students with the animal health industry, contributing to this segment's development and growth in recent years. The goal of delivering quality-based education has allowed the organization to hold RACE (Registry of Approved Continuing Education) certification since 2017. LAVC is the first and only organization with this type of certification in all of Latin America.
